Block Paving

Block Paving for a new driveway, feature walkway or patio can look fantastic. Hard wearing, providing excellent drainage. Sub Base preparation is key in any block paving work - the proper foundation and preparation of the surface prior to laying any bricks will ensure the paving does not distort and water drains properly.

We ensure the ground is properly excavated, levelled and covered with a geo textile weedbarrier ensuring water can drain through but also preventing vegetation growing between block paviors. Hardcore is then compacted providing a flat even surface on which grit screeding is laid. Proper edging bricks are used to complement the design and ensure correct falls for drainage.

Paving blocks can be chosen in a range of sizes and colours and laid in various patterns from popular herringbone to basket weave designs or stretcher bond layouts.

Kiln dried sand is used for infill leaving a perfect finish.

Porous Paving

Environmentally friendly permeable paving avoids many of the issues of water runoff for larger driveways or patio areas. Planning regulations have changed over recent years and with the Flood and Water Management Act of 2010, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS) are becoming a more common specification for new builds or commercial developments.

Surface water can drain directly through the paviors and can be combined with water storage systems and additional drainage to reuse water.
